For interested contractors there is a non-refundable plan fee of $50.00 that is required to obtain these documents. The work involves the furnishing, installation, and testing of approximately 2,010 linear feet of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch water mains and adjustment to existing manholes as part of utility relocations for proposed road work. This includes valves, fittings, fire hydrant assemblies, removal of existing fire hydrants, water main connections, service reconnections to main line and existing meters, testing, unclassified excavation (including rock excavation), backfill, crushed stone backfill in roadways, tie-ins to existing water mains, pavement restoration, traffic control devices, GPS location of fittings, valves, fire hydrants, and all other related appurtenances and work as shown on the Construction Drawings or indicated in the Contract Specifications. All work must comply with the Contract Documents. Bidders and their subcontractors must show evidence of a license, including the license number, expiration date, and applicable classification, on the envelope containing the bid for consideration. Bids may be rejected for failure to comply with requirements but minor defects or informalities may be waived at the discretion of the Hendersonville Utility District. The right to reject all proposals is reserved. Questions regarding documents, discrepancies, omissions, or intent of the Specifications or Drawings shall be submitted in writing to the Owner through the Engineer at least 10 days prior to opening of bids to provide time for issuing and forwarding an addendum.
