Smithton Middle FACS Classroom Renovation RFP 26/22. The RFP, drawings, and supportive construction information for this project are available at American Document Solutions after October 22, 2025. Bidders must bring a government-issued ID to enter district buildings due to a new visitor management system. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled. Contractors must meet at Smithton Middle School, Main Office, 3600 W. Worley Street, Columbia, MO 65203. Requests for interpretation (RFI) or clarifications of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted by the Bidder in writing no later than 12:00 pm local time on November 7, 2025. Bidders shall submit RFIs in PDF format to Brad Stegemann via email at stegemann@soa-inc.com. The Work consists of the following: removing the existing casework kitchenettes and some partitions with the goal of providing an additional kitchenette station for expanding instructional , capacity. The kitchenette stations include an oven range, exhaust hood, prep countertop and prep sink. The exhaust system for the kitchenettes will be upgraded to meet current codes. Additionally, the casework in the sewing instructional classroom will be upgraded and the space reconfigured to provide additional sewing stations. Given the plumbing modifications and mechanical system (exhaust) upgrades, we anticipate the project will require a City of Columbia Building Permit. All the above-described summary of Work shall take place at Smithton Middle School located at 3600 W. Worley St, Columbia, Missouri.
