RTU -6 HVAC Equipment Alterations Contract No. 1 - Mechanical Construction Bids shall be made on the Proposal forms furnished with the Specifications and must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified check made payable to the Ossining Public Library or a Bid Bond acceptable to the Ossining Public Library (Library), in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the Bid. The bid security of all bids except the bid submitted by the successful bidder will be returned after the award of the contract. The bid security of the successful bidder will be returned to the successful bidder after the Contract is executed and any and all required documents (including, but not limited to, bonds and proof of required insurance coverage) are delivered by the successful bidder to the Library. The bid security of the successful bidder will be retained by the Library if the successful bidder fails to enter into the Contract within ten business days after Notice of the Award. No Bidder shall withdraw their bid within sixty days (60) after the formal opening thereof. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder as long as the bid is responsive and is in the Library's best interests. The Library, however, reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in any proposal, to accept or reject any alternative, to accept any bid in whole or in part, or to reject any or all proposals and to advertise for new proposals. The accepted low bidder(s) will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Material Payment Bond.
