The work involves a 1-year on-call repair contract for CIPP lining repairs to the combined sewer system in Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey. The contract is structured for the contractor to respond as needed to sewer lining repairs identified by the Authority, covering sewers ranging in diameter from 8-inch to 96-inch and at various depths, with no guaranteed minimum amount of work. The contractor will be compensated according to unit prices, allowances, and lump sum prices submitted in the bid. Work locations will be assigned by the Authority, and the contractor must begin operations at each site within 10 days of notice to proceed. All bid form quantities are approximate, and the contractor is required to complete all work regardless of project site size for the prices bid. Instructions to bidders include submitting one original and one copy of the bid package plus a CD ROM or USB drive version in PDF format. Bids must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a Bid Bond, Bank Check, or Certified Check of 10% of the bid (not exceeding $20,000.00). A Performance Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount is required. Bids must be made on the provided blank forms and submitted in the bound specification book, left intact. Bidders must comply with New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Public Works Contractor Registration Act, affirmative action requirements, and disclose names and addresses of stockholders, partners, or members with 10% or greater ownership. No electronic bids are allowed.
