Renovation of a library in Fall River, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade library.
The City of Fall River is seeking a qualified General Contractor for restoration repairs to the Historic Stone Facade of the Fall River Public Library. The project scope includes the restoration and improvement of the existing historic stone facade per construction documents, encompassing repair, renovation, and installation of stonework, woodwork, limited metal work, and finish materials. An alternate project component calls for repair and replacement of exterior electrical light fixtures and post. Required certifications include DCAMM certification for Historic Building Restoration. All bid submissions must include a DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and update statement. Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Rates apply. File sub-bids are expected for Masonry, Painting, and Lath and Plastering categories. Sealed bids must be clearly marked and accompanied by a bid deposit of not less than 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide a 100% payment bond and a 100% performance bond for the contract amount. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder within 45 days of solicitation opening. No fax or email submissions accepted. MBE/WBE businesses are encouraged to participate. Responses must be hand-delivered or mailed to the specified purchasing department location.
