Site work for a water / sewer project in Milo, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.

Currently the Village of Milo, Village of Arrowwood and Vulcan County all treat and distribute potable water within their own Municipalities. These Municipalities wish to construct a regional water supply system servicing all three Municipalities with potable water. This project includes the construction of a new regional Water Treatment Plant at the Village of Milo and transmission pipelines to the Village of Arrowwood and Hamlet of Mossleigh. The following upgrades will be included in the regional project: Construction of a new water treatment facility, Upgrades and connections to the Village of Milo, Village of Arrowwood and Hamlet of Mossleigh water treatment facilities, Construction of regional transmission pipelines and connections to local distribution systems. Regional pipelines will be installed from the Village of Milo to the Village Arrowwood and to the Hamlet of Mossleigh. The alignments will utilize a combination of Vulcan County road allowances and right-of-way in private lands with the pipe to be installed by trenchless methods (HDD). The total length of the proposed pipelines is approximately 50 km. The project may be divided into multiple pipeline Contracts to ensure completion dates can be met. This Qualification will cover all of the potential Contracts. Qualified Contactors can submit a bid on one or all of the Contracts. Major work items for this contract will include the following general items (approximation): a. Supply and installation of 50 km of HDPE pipe ranging in size from 75mm-150mm. b. Various water course and wetland crossings. c. Various underground utility crossings. d. Crossing of Highway 542 at Milo and Highway 547 at Arrowwood. e. Crossing of railway at Mossleigh. f.
