Currently the Village of Milo, Village of Arrowwood and Vulcan County all treat and distribute potable water within their own Municipalities. These Municipalities wish to construct a regional water supply system servicing all three Municipalities with potable water. This project includes the construction of a new regional Water Treatment Plant at the Village of Milo and transmission pipelines to the Village of Arrowwood and Hamlet of Mossleigh. Major work items for this contract will include the following general items (approximation): 1. Village of Milo Regional Water Treatment Plant a. New Water Treatment Plant Building (approximately 250 m2) including: i. Civil Site works, ii. Wood frame building, iii. Lower level drywell and pipe gallery, iv. Building mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation. b. Below grade, cast-in-place concrete reservoir (approximately 500 m3): i. Cast-in-place construction. c. Installation of Owner-Supplied Equipment including: i. Dissolved Air Flotation Clarifier system, ii. Membrane Filtration system. d. Treatment Process Equipment and Instrumentation: i. Supply and installation of low lift and membrane backwash supply pumps, ii. Supply and installation of regional transfer pumping system, iii. Supply and installation of chemical feed systems, iv. Relocation of existing UV disinfection system into new facility, v. Process mechanical piping supply and installation, Stainless Steel process piping Process control valves and instrumentation, e. Civil site work, including: i. Grading and landscaping, ii. Connection to existing buried raw water supply pipeline, iii. Connections to new regional potable water transmission pipeline (by others), iv. Connection to existing Village of Milo distribution piping network.
