Londonderry Township will receive bids from qualified contractors for the Municipal Building Renovation Project. The project will be awarded under five separate Prime Contracts: General Construction, Site Contractor, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical. This project involves the renovation and expansion ofthe Municipal Building located at 103 Daleville Road, Cochranville, Chester County, Pennsylvania, 19330. the work area consists of two additions totaling 892 s.f. to an existing municipal structure on an existing lot and interior renovations in the existing business area of the building. Each Bid must be submitted accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the amount of Ten Percent of the total bid amount. The Bid Guarantee must be in the form of Cash, Bid Bond, Bank Check, Cashier's Check or Treasurer's Check, drawn to the order of Londonderry Township. A bidder's personal check or non-certified corporate check is not an acceptable form of bid security. The surety firm must be licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A copy of the bid guarantee must be scanned and submitted electronically via the PennBid website. In addition, a paper copy must be mailed to Londonderry Township. Bid packages consisting of the Instructions to Bidders, Proposal Form, General Conditions, Construction Drawings, and Standard Specifications may be obtained on the PennBid website. All workmen performing work on this project shall be paid the general minimum Prevailing Wage Rates, as determined by the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, in accordance with the Regulations for Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Londonderry Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof and to determine whether the quality and type of equipment and/or service to be furnished meet the requirements for which it was intended. The Board of Supervisors further reserve the right to insist or waive any technicalities required and to consider competency and responsibility of the bidder before the award of the Contract, and award it accordingly.
