Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Woodbury, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.
In general, work consists of the following approximate quantities: 1,570 tons of bituminous mixtures; 1,480 square feet of concrete sidewalk or pedestrian ramp; 4,755 cubic yards of common excavation; 1,500 square feet of prefabricated modular block wall; 3,225 tons of aggregate base, class 5; 18,140 square yards of salvaging and respreading topsoil; 10 acres of turf restoration; 3,240 linear feet of silt fence; and 9,775 square yards of rolled erosion protection. All bidders and persons or companies providing a response or submission must comply with the provisions of Minn. Stat. 16c.285 Responsible Contractor. Digital image copies of the bidding documents are available for a fee. For this project, bids will only be received electronically via the specified service, and an additional fee is charged at the time of bid submission. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list for bids to be accepted. Bids shall be completed according to the bidding requirements prepared by the specified engineer. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the amount of the bid must accompany each bid. The owner reserves the right to retain deposits of the three lowest bidders for up to 60 days and to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities and informalities, and award the contract in the owner's best interest.
