Reading Housing Authority is soliciting vendors for maintenance contracts for the calendar years 2026 and 2027. Work is to be performed on properties or programs operated by Reading Housing Authority and/or the City of Reading. Submissions must include a fixed hourly rate that covers wages, overhead, general and administrative expenses, profit, and the mark-up associated with any materials or supplies. An annual vendor list will be created from these submissions for the purpose of performing emergency and as-needed services. Vendors will be ranked and generally contacted in the order of lowest hourly rate. The work is unpredictable in nature, and vendors will be issued an Indefinite Quantity Contract, with no single project anticipated to exceed $22,500 or the state bidding threshold for such solicitations. For work anticipated to exceed this threshold, public bidding will be conducted. RHA reserves the right to bypass the ranking order based on vendor availability or unique service needs, and may seek additional vendors during the year if fewer than three qualified vendors are identified or available in a specific category. No additional vendors will be added to the list outside of this solicitation unless such exceptions apply.
