Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in East Chicago, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

This is a Design-build Project. The Work Shall Consist of Construction of a Splash Pad and Water Slides in the Washington Park Pavilion. This Project Will Include All Design, Specifications, and Construction Work for a Complete Project and as Included in the Construction Schedule and Specifications for the Washington Park Splash Pad as Well as Designer-contractor Specifications. The Proposal Must Be Made on the Forms Provided in the Contract Documents. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Cashier's or Certified Check, Drawn on an Acceptable Bank, or an Acceptable Bidder's Bond, in an Amount Not Less Than 5 Percent (5%) of the Total Amount of the Bid, Payable to the City of East Chicago, Indiana. The Bidder to Whom a Contract for Work is Awarded Will Be Required to Furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond Executed on the Specified Forms and Acceptable to the City, in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Amount. The Bidder (Proposer) Must Supply All the Information Required by the Bid Proposal Form. Liquidated Damages for Delay Will Be as Provided in the Bid Proposal (5%). Work Hours Will Be as Provided in the Technical Specifications. The City of East Chicago, Indiana, Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Proposals or Parts There-of and to Waive All Responsibility for Irregularities in Bids. The Contractor and All Subcontractors Will Be Required to Comply With Required Federal and State Labor Regulations Including, Health and Safety Codes for State, Local and Federal Agencies, All Permits, E-verify, Non-segregated Facilities. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Proposal Documents are to be directed to Owner and the consultant in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Owner in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda e-mailed to all parties recorded by Owner as having received the Proposal Documents.
