The work includes milling (15,000 square yards), HMA surface course (2,100 tons), and the installation of infiltration inlets (5 units). Bids or proposals must be submitted on the forms provided, intact, and must conform to the provided general instructions, specifications, terms, and conditions. A certified check or cashier's check payable to the Township of Montville, or a duly executed bid bond in the amount of 10% of each bid (not to exceed $20,000.00), must be submitted with the bid. Bidders must comply with relevant New Jersey State Statutes regarding Affirmative Action, Statement of Ownership, use of American goods and products, Public Works Contractor Registration, Business Registration, and Election Law Enforcement Commission requirements. Bid proposals must be placed in sealed opaque envelopes, addressed and marked as specified. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive minor informalities or irregularities in the proposals received and to accept the bid that best serves the Township's interests. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. No interpretations of the meaning of the Contract Documents will be made orally by the Engineer to any prospective bidder and any request for an interpretation must be made at least ten days prior to the date of the opening of bids.
