The project scope includes the construction of a new walk/bike trail in Montville Township. Base bid includes approximately 5,060 square yards of 2-inch dense graded aggregate, 5,060 square yards of 2 stone dust and 3,420 square yards of topsoil w/spreading, straw mulch and seed, along a 7,100 LF trail in undeveloped lands. A certified check or cashiers check made payable to the order of the Township of Montville, or a duly executed bid bond in the amount of 10% of each bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, must be submitted with the bid by each bidder. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the proposal received and to accept the bid which is in the best interests of the Township. Bid proposals must be placed in sealed opaque envelopes addressed to the Township of Montville, 195 Changebridge Road, Montville, New Jersey 07045 and marked clearly on the outside of the envelope "BID DOCUMENTS ENCLOSED, WAUGHAW VALLEY TRAIL PROJECT". No interpretations of the meaning of the Contract Documents will be made orally by the Engineer to any prospective bidder and any request for an interpretation must be made at least ten days prior to the date of the opening of bids. Interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be sent to all known prospective bidders no later than seven days prior to the bid opening by e-mail and facsimile. All addenda or interpretations so issued shall become part of the Contract Documents.
