**As of November 17, 2025 project has been canceled. As of this time it is unknown if an when project will rebid. The scope of work includes renovations for the NE ramp at the library. Provide all work, including labor, materials, equipment, incidentals and appurtenances to complete the project per the approved plans titled SOUTH PASADENA LIBRARY RAMP UPGRADE dated 8/1/2025 by ONYX Architects. Scope to be included as the contractor's responsibility encompasses all plan representations, notes, compliance references and is inclusive of work described in the following narrative: 1. Removal of existing noncompliant ramp handrails. 2. Removal of existing metal curb/barrier on north side of walkway and replacement with new guardrail to match existing adjacent guardrail. 3. Installation of new ADA compliant handrail along entire guardrail. Handrail will have integral low voltage LED lighting pucks to illuminate surface of accessible route. 4. Provide all electrical connections for the new LED lighting. Demonstrate working lighting and replacement of lights for the library and City staff in a training exercise. In addition to the LED lights installed, deliver 20 duplicate LED fixtures and lighting installation tools as attic stock for future replacements if necessary. 5. Installation of lighting bollards adjacent to existing tree. 6. Removal of door closer at Library existing balcony and installation of spring hinges in lieu of closer. 7. Provide waterproofing barrier on the library building exterior wall at the exposed section beneath the existing ledge and extending down to 3 feet below grade before backfilling. Product specifications for GMX Cold Fluid-Applied Waterproofing Ultra-Guard Elastomeric High Build are included as an attachment with this RFP. 8. Installation of new concrete drainage swale and drainpipe at north wall of Library. Note: concrete swale shall be shaped so that the sides follow the westward slope of the ramp yet have a centered watercourse trough inversely sloping eastward for water drainage to the east around the northeast corner of the building. 9. Related work / deferred approval. Electrical wiring, transformers, controls and related Title 24 forms. 10.
