The work involves the removal and replacement of approximately 280 linear feet of 10-inch diameter vitrified clay pipe (VCP) sewer main, installing about 435 linear feet of 10-inch VCP sewer main, abandoning approximately 415 linear feet of 10-inch VCP sewer main, removing and replacing one standard sanitary sewer manhole, and constructing two new sanitary sewer manholes. The project also includes reinstating, reconnecting, removing and replacing, and/or extending or installing active sanitary sewer service laterals. All proposals must be submitted via Biddingo prior to the specified deadline. Bidders are responsible for ensuring submission before the cutoff. Bid documents and information are available on the Biddingo website; registration is required to access and receive updates. Bidders must regularly check Biddingo for addenda or new information. All questions must be submitted in writing via Biddingo; no direct contact with City staff or consultants is allowed. Reliance can only be placed on information provided through Biddingo. Bidders must have a valid California contractor's license, classification A. Bidder and all designated subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The project requires compliance with prevailing wage laws. Violations of the City's Wage Theft Prevention Policy or contacting unauthorized City personnel may result in disqualification. Each bid must include an electronic pdf copy of a bidder's bond of not less than 10% of the total bid amount. The awarded contractor must submit 100% Payment and Faithful Performance Bonds. Compliance with CARB Off-Road Diesel Regulations is required, including Certificates of Reported Compliance for all relevant fleets. Substitution of securities for retention is allowed under Public Contracts Code Section 22300. This project is subject to a Project Labor Agreement with applicable local labor councils.
