Reference number: 20102650 Electronic tender submission accepted No This call for expressions of interest will give interested contractors the opportunity to demonstrate their interest and ability to carry out a project to expand the Lac-Leamy Convention Centre using the design-build method. Loto-Québec has been operating the Lac-Lemay Casino since 1996. Expanded in 2001 and combined with a hotel complex, the complex now forms a large architectural ensemble comprising gaming areas, accommodation, restaurants and a multi-story car park. The proposed infrastructure project will provide the Gatineau region with a major convention centre. This major investment aims to double the size of the current facilities to nearly 100,000 square feet and offer modern, versatile spaces that meet market expectations. Gatineau will thus be able to host events of national and international importance, generating thousands of additional overnight stays for hoteliers and positive spin-offs for local businesses and services. The design-build contract will cover the design and construction of the new extension, including the interior and exterior fittings necessary for its seamless integration into the existing building. This project will help position Gatineau as a key player in Quebec's business tourism sector, while supporting regional economic development
