Demolition, site work, paving and addition to a mixed-use development in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for the addition of a 3,400-square-foot transportation facility; for the demolition of a transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; and water / sewer project.

The work generally consists of selective building and slab-on-grade demolition, building footings and slab-on-grade, a 3,400 square foot pre-engineered metal building addition, mechanical and plumbing construction, building and site electrical, subgrade and granular subbase preparation, PCC pavement, site utilities (storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and subdrain), security fencing, and traffic control. Each bidder must accompany their bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, in the amount of ten percent of the bid and in an acceptable form. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish one-hundred-percent performance, payment, and maintenance bonds in a form acceptable to the Board. Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest aggregate sum proposal from responsive and responsible bidders. Preference is given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within Iowa. Failure to submit a completed Bidder Status Form may result in rejection of the proposal. Sales tax should not be included in the bid, as a sales tax exemption certificate will be available. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. The Engineers opinion of probable construction cost for the Work is between $2,550,000 and $2,800,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
