The Des Moines International Airport requires the installation and integration of four (4) Self Bag Drop (SBD) units and eight (8) Common Use Kiosks. All SBD/Kiosk providers must ensure their equipment meets the functional, operational, and integration standards specified to support seamless and efficient passenger experience, and to ensure compatibility with the airport’s Baggage Handling System (BHS) and airline systems. The work will encompass providing the SBD and kiosk equipment, installation, integration with the BHS, and commissioning. a. General Scope of Work 1. General Performance Criteria: SBD and kiosk equipment must meet or exceed the functional performance criteria. 2. Integration and Compatibility: Vendor will integrate and ensure compatibility of SBD and kiosk with existing BHS, airline Departure Control Systems (DCS), and Transportation Security Administration) TSA and other regulatory screening and data handoff requirements. 3. Warranty and Support: Vendor to provide a warranty and support of hardware and software components, including spare parts for equipment. 4. Network Architecture: Coordinating and supporting the integration of the SBD units and kiosks into the airport’s network infrastructure and Baggage Handling System (BHS) IT environment. This includes installation of data cabling, network connectivity, and interfacing of peripheral devices (e.g., printers, scanners, and cameras) required for the operation of each SBD unit. 5. Installation: Close coordination will be required with the Airport project team, the BHS Contractor, and the design team to ensure proper design, installation, integration, and commissioning.
