The work consists of concrete and curb replacement as needed at various Bayonne Housing Authority sites. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Authority, with the contract designation, name, address, and telephone number of the Bidder on the exterior. An original and two copies should be submitted. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company as listed in the most recently published U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, or by certified check in the specified amount, made out to the Housing Authority of the City of Bayonne. Bids must also include all required affidavits and a Consent of Surety from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company stating that it will provide the necessary performance and maintenance bonds if awarded the contract. Compliance with Davis-Bacon Wage Requirements and business registration provisions is required. The successful Bidder must provide a Performance Bond for the full contract amount and a Maintenance Bond for a percentage of the construction cost, both from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company listed in the most recent U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570. Bidders and contractors must comply with Affirmative Action Regulations of New Jersey and applicable federal and state requirements. All Bidders must submit a Statement of Ownership. No bidder may withdraw a bid for sixty days after opening without the consent of the Authority. The Authority reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids in its best interest. Corporate affiliates or related entities are not automatically qualified.
