The contractor shall provide complete construction services, including labor, materials, equipment, and supervision, to execute the "Repair FTD Building Envelope" project for the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. The work involves structural and waterproofing renovations essential for the long-term performance, safety, and compliance of the Fort Thomas Domiciliary penthouses. The scope includes repairing approximately 700 linear feet of parapet roof with comprehensive waterproofing and structural reinforcement, replacing deteriorated flashing, sealing joints, and integrating a compliant lightning protection system. Additional tasks include restoring the front patio accent wall by removing the existing wall and applying matching spray concrete to approximately 870 square feet of the exterior patio base. Minor demolition, structural framing, electrical grounding, and finishing services are required. The project addresses issues such as water infiltration, structural failure, lightning damage, and environmental hazards like moisture penetration and energy inefficiencies. Work will be phased to minimize operational disruptions and coordinated with the Contracting Officer's Representative for scheduling activities that may involve temporary utility shutdowns or weekend work.
