The Grande Ronde Model Watershed (Grmw), in Conjunction With the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (Odfw), Seeks the Services of a Construction Company With Experience in River Restoration to Construct the Wa'waanma - Bear Creek Restoration Project in Northeast Oregon. The Grmw Will Be the Contract Holder for the Entirety of This Project. The Request for Proposal (Rfp) Will Describe the Services to Be Provided That Include Harvest and Staging of Trees, and the Construction of Large Wood Structures. Excavation of Material to Construct Side Channels and Fill for Main Stem. Project Habitat Restoration Elements Will Be Constructed in Accordance With the Final Design and Implementation Plan. The Final Design Includes All Necessary Construction Protocols, Design Plan Sets, and Technical Specifications. The Purpose of This Tour is to Allow Contractors to View the Site and Project Before Snow Accumulation Makes It Nearly Impossible. The Hired Construction Firm Shall Construct Stream Restoration Elements That Address the Limiting Factors for All Life Stages of Chinook Salmon, Steelhead, Bull Trout, and Other Native Species Within the Project Reach. The Habitat Improvement Program (Hipiv), Programmatic Biological Opinion Will Be the Conservation Measures Used for Project Implementation. The Contractor Hired Shall Work Closely With the Odfw's Technical Representatives to Complete the Project. Frequent and Open Communication, Including Onsite Progress Meetings Are Required. Services Furnished by the Construction Company Shall Be Provided as Outlined in the Rfp.
