Renovation of an educational facility in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 40,853-square-foot educational facility.

The Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School is soliciting sealed bids for the Columbia Street Building Renovation ("Project") in the form of MULTIPLE prime lump sum contract(s). Construction will be bid for the following Prime Contracts: Contract No. 2: HVAC Construction Bidders must supply the following information with their request for documents: the contract(s) you are bidding on, company name, contact person, complete address, phone and cellular numbers, and email address. The site may be made available for visits at the pre-bid conference and at the other specific designated dates and times determined at the pre-bid All questions must be submitted in writing as follows. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Renovations for vocational/technical programs including interior construction, mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler, fire alarm and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a MULTI PRIME LUMP SUM CONTRACT. 1.5 WORK SEQUENCE A. The entire Work shall be completed in compliance with the Project phasing and milestones indicated on the plans. Any deviations from these requirements shall be subject to the approval of the Engineer. The Owner reserves the right to enforce liquidated damages for contractor's non-compliance with any of the phasing, milestone and substantial completion dates. B. Construction work shall be performed in a sequence to ensure that all building systems are systematically installed in an efficient manner. C. Contractor shall clean and turn over the areas in a sequence for the Owner's use. D. If the Notice to Proceed or a required permit or approval from an approval agency that is required for start of Work is delayed for any reason, all subsequent Phased Completion Dates and Milestone Completion Dates will be adjusted by the exact same number of days. The Contractoris not entitled to damages for delay of any type on this contract. Contractor agrees that an extension of time is the only recourse as a result of any delays that are beyond the Contractor's control. E. If applicable to the project, all Work must be completed in accordance with the Phasing Drawings, the Project NPDES permit requirements for stormwater discharges associated with constructionactivities issued under Chapter 102 by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and authorized county conservation districts (CCDs), the approved Project schedule, and in a sequence approved by the Architect, Engineer, and Owner. Each prime contractor shall complete and submit required Visual Site Inspection Reports (VSIRs) and other DEP compliance documentation in compliance with the Owner's NPDES permit and DEP requirements and shall submit the appropriate application forms to the appropriate County Conservation District.
