** As of December 2, 2025 project has been awarded to South State, Inc. with an amount of $1,556,644.56.** Resurfacing and safety improvements to South Academy Street / Fairview Road (CR 637), from Whig Lane (CR 610) to Grillo Street in the Borough of Clayton & Glassboro and the Township of Elk, Gloucester County, New Jersey. The principal items of work include approximately: 41,000 SY HMA milling (3" or less); 5,350 tons hot mix asphalt (12.5ME surface course); 410 tons hot mix asphalt (19M64 base course); 1,050 LF 9" x 18" concrete vertical curb; 300 LF reinforced concrete pipe; 100 LF ductile iron pipe; 12 new/reconstructed inlets; 50,000 LF traffic stripes; 430 SY concrete sidewalk/driveways; and 1,150 SY HMA driveways. Instructions to bidders include: Bids must be accompanied by a proposal bond in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid, not exceeding $20,000.00; a certificate (Consent of Surety) from a Surety Company; a completed Non-Collusion Affidavit; a completed Public Disclosure Information Sheet indicating stockholders with 10% or more ownership; a Wage and Hour Compliance Acknowledgment; a Plan and Equipment Questionnaire; a Business Registration Certificate, including all sub-contractors. Each bid must be signed in ink by an authorized company representative and delivered to the designated office by the named deadline. Compliance with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, anti-discrimination laws, and other specified state and county regulations is required.
