The Work to be bid generally includes the following construction activities: site preparation including erosion control, road grading, road over-excavation, water, sanitary sewer and water installation, curb, gutter, sidewalk, asphalt, signage and striping, and street lights. Bids shall be submitted only by qualified contractors with recognized expertise in providing turn-key services for public sector clients, on the basis of the District's Bid Form. Bids will be reviewed based on all Bid Schedules and selected using criteria deemed to be in the District's best interest. Bid Documents, including the Bid Form and Contract Documents, can be obtained from the District's project consultant. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held virtually. All bids shall be emailed to the designated contact no later than the specified time. A Bid Bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid amount is required, with Performance and Material and Labor Payment Bonds each at 100% of the contract value. Proof of Worker's Compensation and Liability Insurance, naming the District as additional insured, is required. Retainage will be withheld.
