Notice of Public Hearing is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Iowa, by Hancock County Health System, that the facility proposes to construct a new free-standing maintenance building just north of the current hospital across 2nd Street NW in Britt, IA. This work will be bid and coordinated by the Architect. This Notice is for sum of the work as defined by the Bid Documents, and said documents (plans and specifications, plus proposed contract forms) have been adopted by said organization. A copy of these documents is on file and available for inspection at the office of Mr. Curt Gast, Director of Facilities, Hancock County Health System. A Public Hearing will be held, as required by Iowa law, in the Hancock County Health System Board Room at 532 1st Street NW, Britt, IA 50423 at 1:45 p.m. on November 25, 2025. Interested persons may appear and file opinions to said proposed plans, specifications or contract form, or cost of such improvements. In general, work consists of a new wood-framed garage building called the "maintenance building". This free-standing building has limited sitework involved.
