The Okanagan-Columbia (TOC) Business Area brushes previously planted blocks to mitigate vegetation competition and help reach free growing status. This contract will assist BCTS in achieving those goals. The purpose of this contract is to manually brush herbaceous, woody and deciduous vegetation only in various locations in Revelstoke and Golden. This contract requires approximately 196.89 hectares to be brushed. The contract includes approximately 109.65 hectares of herbaceous brushing and approximately 87.24 hectares of woody and deciduous brushing. Deadline for receiving questions is 4:00 pm on November 10, 2025. If questions are received, a Question & Answer document will be posted to Online by November 13, 2025. Due to BCGEU strike, contract could not be posted at its scheduled time. Although viewing is not mandatory but recommended, expect snow in various areas. A survey contractor will conduct brushing inspections to determine quality upon each unit completion.
