Renovation of a multi-residential development in Vernon, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The Work involves replacing existing furnaces in a townhome complex with high-efficiency furnaces equipped with air conditioning systems. This generally includes the removal of the old furnaces and the installation of new units, along with necessary modifications to ductwork, venting, and other related components to ensure optimal performance and compliance with current standards. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/12/11 02:00:00 PM PST 3.1 PRE-INSTALLATION PHASE The following are the requirements for the Contractor for the pre-installation phase. .1 Conduct a comprehensive site inspection to assess the existing HVAC systems configurations and determine the areas of each unit that work will take place. If the unit is one that contains asbestos, determine which areas will require asbestos abatement. A site inspection report is to be provided to VNHS. .2 Coordinate with an asbestos abatement subcontractor on the sites that contain asbestos which are listed below. Asbestos abatement schedule must be approved by VNHS and must be given to VNHS a week before work is to be started to inform tenants of work. .3 Prepare demolition/ construction timeline, update project cost and inform VNHS of any specific changes or additional requirements for the project based on the findings of the site visit. 3.2 EQUIPMENT PROCUREMENT The following outlines the requirements of the equipment procurement for this project. .1 All equipment supplied is to meet this project's equipment specifications and should be the specified equipment shown in Appendix A. Any alternates are to be confirmed by contractor to eligible with associated rebate programs. .2 All equipment shop drawings must be approved by owner and engineer before equipment is ordered. Any equipment which differs from the specified equipment must be approved before ordering and justification for the change of equipment must be given by the Contractor. .3 All equipment shall be supplied by the contractor. The contractor is responsible to deliver all equipment and parts to each unit. .4 All equipment must be CSA approved and come from a reputable manufacturer. All equipment warranty information must be provided to VNHS before purchase. .5 Equipment delivery times are to be reported in Contractor's provided construction schedule. 1 Provide and install panelboards as indicated on the drawings, single line diagram, panel schedules and these specifications. .2 Types of panelboards in this section include the following: .1 CDP type Power distribution panelboards. .2 Lighting and power panelboards
