Description: The proposed work consists of the extension of a 16-inch water main from the existing water main owned and operated by the Village of Buffalo Grove, located along Robert Parker Coffin Road at the intersection of Thompson Boulevard, to the Village of Long Grove Reservoir Building . The Bid includes installation of approximately 1,500 feet of 16-inch ductile iron water main by open-cut construction methods. Work also includes installation of a new metering station with all associated meters and appurtenances, a building addition at the existing reservoir building, internal piping modifications within the reservoir building, and a new SCADA system for monitoring and control. Major work items include, but are not limited to, the installation of approximately 1,500 linear feet of 16" ductile iron water main, fire hydrants, valve vaults, trench backfill, pavement patching, pavement milling and overlay, and site restoration.
