Site work for a civil project in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
he City of Kalamazoo has been awarded a federal grant for the engineering and construction of Arcadia Creek between Oliver St and Westnedge Ave. This is funded by the Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-saving Transportation (PROTECT) grant program. Design for Phases 1-3 of Arcadia Creek (Oliver-Westnedge) will be broken into two contracts to be awarded to the same Consulting firm (Consultant). Contract #1 is Preliminary Design Engineering, and Contract #2 Final Design Engineering. This dichotomy stems from the City's original grant application and is considered in this project's grant agreement and other documents. Construction engineering (CE) and administration will NOT be included with Contract #1 or Contract #2 and shall not be included in the consultant's proposal. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
