The work under this contract shall be performed in accordance with the contract documents and involves removal and disposal of sewage grit and screenings. Bids shall be submitted on the specified proposal forms, in a sealed envelope addressed to the Secaucus Municipal Utilities Authority and marked for the removal and disposal of sewage grit and screening. The contract may be awarded as either a one-year contract for January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, or a two-year contract for January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027, as specified in the proposal pages. The Authority will select the contract period based on received prices and in its best interest. All bids must state the price of each work item in both words and figures. Bidders are required to sign the bid and provide their business address and place of residence. Compliance with Public Laws regarding disclosure of stockholders and partners owning 10% or more interest is required. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid, not to exceed $20,000, as a guarantee of contract execution and proper performance security if awarded. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities as it serves their interest.
