Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Dunellen, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a one-story above grade road / highway.

**As of November 18, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded in December 31st, 2025.** The work generally consists of pavement milling, furnishing and installation of hot mix asphalt surface course (including sweeping, tack coating, and other pavement preparation), removal and replacement of curbs and related work. The project also includes sidewalks and driveway aprons, driveway restoration and partial reconstruction where indicated on the plans, storm drainage improvements, and all other associated work and services in accordance with the contract documents. Work at additional locations may be ordered by the Borough if deemed appropriate. Proposals must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the project name on the outside, addressed to the Borough of Dunellen. Proposals must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a Surety Company authorized to do business in New Jersey and acceptable to the Borough. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check in the amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid amount (but not more than $20,000.00) as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded, the Bidder will execute the contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within ten (10) days. A bid bond for the same amount may be substituted. Each bid must also be accompanied by a certificate of consent of surety from a licensed bonding company. Bidders must comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27) and N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The successful bidder shall comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.), United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), and all other relevant requirements. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after bid opening. The successful bidder must provide a surety company bond for the full contract amount for indemnification and faithful performance. The project is partially funded by a grant from the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Authority Act and the work must meet the requirements of the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Award of the contract is subject to Department of Transportation approval.
