A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The scope of work consists of removing three relocatable classroom buildings, modernizing one permanent structure along with eight modular and five relocatable buildings, replacing two existing play surfaces and equipment, and constructing three new shade structures (two fabric and one metal). The project also includes associated site and accessibility improvements, utility connections, and interior and exterior upgrades necessary to deliver fully modernized and code-compliant facilities. All bids shall be on the forms provided, must conform to all pertinent contract documents, and must include a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check for ten percent of the bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond, participate in the owner-controlled insurance program, and either meet or demonstrate a good faith effort to meet the DVBE participation goal. All workers must be paid at or above prevailing wage rates, and electronic certified payroll records must be submitted. Substitutions must be made on the specified form, and particular brand names are required to match existing systems for various equipment and infrastructures. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive responsible bidder based on the base bid amount only. The board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. No bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety days after the bid opening. Pre-qualification requirements: All contractors holding an A or B license, and all electrical, mechanical, or plumbing contractors holding a C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 license and bidding or subcontracting for a scope of work requiring that license, must be prequalified for the project. All prequalification packages must be submitted ten business days prior to the bid date.
