Site work for a water / sewer project in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Construction of the 24" Parallel Water Transmission Main consisting of 20,350 linear feet of 24" ductile iron pipe, associated valves, road and creek crossings, and pavement replacement, together with all related work as specified and shown on the Drawings. Bids must include a bid bond or certified check of 5% of the bid amount. Bidders must comply with title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, Contract Work Hours Standard Act, Davis-Bacon Act, Executive Order No. 11246 regarding non-discrimination, and all applicable requirements regarding affirmative action and use of small, minority, women owned, and disadvantaged businesses. All iron and steel products used must comply with "American Iron and Steel" requirements. The contract must be completed within 540 calendar days with liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for delays. Compliance with Kentucky Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and EPA requirements is also required, including paying the higher of state or federal prevailing wage rates. Award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The City of Nicholasville reserves the right to waive informalities and reject any and all bids. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered
