The City of Nicholasville Fire Department Training Facility located at 201 East Brown Street, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356, Request Bids for a Fire Training Burn Building, using existing shipping containers we currently have on location. The City of Nicholasville reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Building Specification's Burn Building shall be 800 Square Feet. Two-story burn building constructed from Four (4) shipping containers the Fire Department Currently has on property site. One heavy duty fabricated metal staircase with an exterior 8 Foot by 8 Foot landing and a Fabricated railing. One heavy duty fabricated interior landing, staircase landing and railings That will connect The two stacked containers. Five heavy duty fabricated doors and windows. One fabricated burn pan. Two internally operated ventstacks. Fabricated dropped ceiling with drywall ceiling prop. A Structural Engineer certified in Kentucky muststamp plans in Compliance with Kentucky Revised Building Code 2018 Edition. This project was supported by Award Pursuant to KRS 95A.262 the Kentucky Fire Commission has awarded the Nicholasville Fire Department as part of the Training Facility Grant Program. KRS 95A.262 and 739 KAR 2.030 governs the terms and conditions of this award. The winning bidder may need to supply additional documentation regarding their business, employees, or other relevant information in order to comply will all policies and procedures in the grant award agreement. Any additional information requested in this manner, will only be used to satisfy the requirements of the grant.
