Renovation of a detention facility in Evansville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade detention facility.
Sealed bid packets are requested to provide and install a cooling tower at the Vanderburgh County Jail. Bids must include all installation and start-up costs, including but not limited to training of staff, additional piping, structural steel, seismic bracing, electrical connections, disposal of debris, warranty of equipment and labor, and any other installation related costs. All work and materials must be included as per specified drawings. Bids shall also include specified alternates, such as stainless steel water basins – hot and cold. Bids are to be properly executed on prescribed bid forms including Standard Questionnaire Form 96 (Current Edition) and Supplemental Bid Proposal Form (Attachment for Form No. 96). Bidders must submit recent financial data, not more than 90 days old, and identify any sub-contractors. Each proposal must include a bid security of not less than five percent (5%) of the total proposal amount. The cost of a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum, executed by a qualified surety company, must also be included. Conditional or qualified bids will not be accepted. The award will be made to the most responsive and responsible bidder, in accordance with State public bidding laws. Bidders must comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations related to construction. The bidder expected to win must be prepared to enter into a contract promptly, furnish required bonds and insurance, and commence work without delay following the notice to proceed. No proposal may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date set for receiving bids. There are instructions to submit questions by a specified deadline, and answers will be provided to all registered prospective bidders. All subcontractors must be identified in the bid.
