The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount, said bonds to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the Common- wealth of Pennsylvania. A Certificate of Insurance show- ing proof of liability insurance and worker's compensation insurance must also be pro- vided, as specified in the bid documents. These items shall be provided within ten (10) days of the Notice of Intent to Award date. Notice is given that the Work is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum rates as promulgated under provi- sions of said act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work. The Township of Spring reserves the right, which is un- derstood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids or portions thereof, to delete projects and/or portions of projects based upon budget constraints, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the TOWNSHIP OF SPRING, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. The Township also reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to waive any informality in the Bid, and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid. All Work contained within the contract shall be completed in full within forty-five (45) calendar days of Notice to Proceed. The anticipated Notice to Proceed date is March 2, 2026; however, suit- able weather conditions will dictate actual start date. The Contract length will be ex- tended as necessary to ac- count for unsuitable weather conditions. Liquidated dam- ages shall apply to the con- tract for Work not completed in full within the specified time period.
