Renovation of a library in East Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade library.
This project involves the complete removal of the two existing natural gas condensing boilers and the installation of four new high-efficiency condensing boilers to improve system reliability and efficiency. The demolition is to be performed in two parts: Boiler-1 will be removed first, then four new boilers will be installed in Boiler-1's place while Boiler-2 remains operational. Boiler-2 will be removed after the new system is fully operational. The contractor is responsible for removing all construction debris and existing material from the site, providing a seamless turn-key project. Bids must be submitted for the entire project under a single Mechanical Contract and must include a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the bid sum. Bidding documents are available electronically through The Wassi Group, and registering is required to obtain them. Plans must be acquired through a contractor for vendors, suppliers, and equipment representatives. CAD files will not be provided. There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting, and the attendee must be directly involved in the bidding or execution of the project. All construction is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act.
