The City of University Place is seeking consulting firms with expertise in surveying services for the Preliminary Engineering phase of the 40th Street West Phase 3 Project (Drexler Dr W to 67th Ave W). The project will include the construction of curb, gutter, sidewalk, landscaped buffer, bike lane, street lighting, flashing pedestrian crossing beacons, pavement marking, and pedestrian/bicycle amenities. It also requires the construction of curb ramps and landings at all intersections within the project limits. The consultant will be responsible for providing a full topographic survey of the project limits within the existing right of way and 50 feet of all side roads, delivering a CAD file in Civil 3D with points, and providing a stamped hard copy of the topographic survey. The consultant must also determine the existing right of way boundary within the project limits. The selected firm will only be used for the preliminary engineering phase, not for subsequent project phases. Submittals must include: firm name, phone and fax numbers; name of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager; number of employees for each firm proposed for the project; and descriptions of relevant company and personnel experience. Submittals will be evaluated based on key personnel qualifications, firm experience with federally funded transportation projects, ability to meet the schedule, approach to the project, familiarity with relevant codes and standards, and past performance/ references. Four copies of the Statement of Qualifications must be submitted to the City of University Place Engineering Department.
