Asheville City Schools reserves the right to reject any or all offers when such rejection is deemed to be in the best interest of Asheville City Schools. The purpose of this solicitation is to request proposals for the tuckpointing of Asheville High School at the CTE Building, located at 419 McDowell St, Asheville, NC 28803, within Asheville City Schools ("ACS"), as per the specifications described herein. The school serves approximately 1,600 students and includes general education classrooms, special education spaces, administrative offices, a cafeteria, library/media center, and a gymnasium. The goal of the renovation is to extend the useful life of the building, support current educational programming and provide a flexible, future-ready learning environment for students and staff. SCOPE OF WORK Work to include pressure washing and removal of debris prior to other work; removal of all old mortar to a depth of 3/4 inch and area cleaned; and replace mortar to match existing and final cleaning. The color of the mortar to be replaced should be matched as closely as possible to the existing color. The walls are approximately 7,000 square feet and at various heights. It will be Proposer's responsibility to confirm exact square footage. Tuckpointing will take place on both sides of the retaining wall. Please note that there are not drawings related to this project. Instead, prospective bidders must attend the Pre-Proposal Site Visit in order to become familiar with the project.
