Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Asbury, Iowa. Completed plans call for paving for a road / highway; for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work to be completed includes asphalt milling and overlay work, water main replacement, water service line replacement, PCC curb replacement, PCC driveway replacement, water and sewer fixture adjustments, topsoil placement and grading, site restoration including seeding, and other related items. Locations within Asbury to receive work include the Legacy Heights Subdivision, Middle Road, Seippel Road, Deerborn Drive, Meadow Court, Parkside Drive, Green Crest Court, Wintergreen Drive, Asbury Circle, and the Wedgewood Lift Station Access Lane Each BIDDER shall accompany its bid with a bid security as security that the successful BIDDER will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of CONTRACT a corporate surety bond or bid bond, acceptable to the OWNER, for the faithful performance of the CONTRACT, in an amount equal to 100 percent of the amount of the CONTRACT. The bid security shall be equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, and shall be in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check drawn on a state chartered or federally charted bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered credit union. The Bid Bond shall contain no exceptions. The successful BIDDER shall be required to furnish a performance BOND and a payment BOND, each in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, within ten (10) calendar days of the date when the NOTICE OF AWARD is delivered to the BIDDER. The NOTICE OF AWARD shall be accompanied by the necessary AGREEMENT and BOND forms. In case of failure of the BIDDER to execute the AGREEMENT, the OWNER may at his option consider the BIDDER in default, in which case the BID BOND shall become property of the OWNER. Work will commence following the issuance of a written notice to proceed and shall be substantially completed on or before October 2, 2026. All work shall be finally complete and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions on or before October 16, 2026. The anticipated substantial completion date is October 2, 2026 and final completion date is October 16, 2026. OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
