The work on the Ramon Road Bridge at Whitewater River involves widening the bridge from a 4-lane arterial to a 6-lane arterial, with three lanes in each direction. The project includes seismic retrofitting, installation of new bridge barriers, bridge supports within the Whitewater River Channel, and the addition of a 5-foot sidewalk on the north side and a 10-foot-wide multipurpose trail with a physical barrier for bicyclists on the south side. The limits of roadway widening extend from San Luis Rey Drive to Landau Boulevard. Scope of work under this RFP includes comprehensive Construction Management services for the Ramon Road Bridge at Whitewater River Project. This includes developing project staging and traffic control plans, implementing a Quality Assurance Program (including materials testing and inspection), reviewing construction surveying, ensuring environmental compliance, and conducting public outreach. The selected firm will provide inspection services to ensure compliance with contract documents and environmental monitoring to meet CEQA and NEPA requirements, as well as all applicable environmental permits. The firm will also manage public engagement, including a project website, hotline, and community meetings. The selected firm will oversee material testing, ensure ADA compliance, coordinate with utilities, and manage all construction closeout services, such as final inspections and transitioning the project to City maintenance.
