Site work for a development in Whitefish, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade development.
The City of Whitefish, Montana, is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to prepare an updated Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). The plan should include a delineation of the Wildland Urban Interface, identification of high-risk areas, wildfire response strategies, community preparedness priorities, firefighting capabilities, areas of insufficient water pressure, feasible evacuation routes, emergency notification processes, and recommendations for hazardous fuel treatments. The updated CWPP will be based on a new wildfire risk assessment, identify mitigation strategies, and provide recommendations for future land use patterns. The planning process will include active citizen participation and coordination with County, State, and Federal agencies. The final plan will be incorporated into the City’s Growth Policy in accordance with the Montana Land Use Planning Act. Written proposals shall be submitted to the City Clerk, City of Whitefish, 418 E. 2nd Street, Whitefish, Montana 59937, on or before 4:00 PM local time on November 14, 2025. Submittals shall include the information outlined in the RFP, limited to ten (10) pages excluding resumes and the required sample plan, clearly identified as “Community Wildfire Protection Plan Update.” The City of Whitefish reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to select the firm deemed most advantageous to the City.
