Renovation of a residential development in Evansville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Affordable Housing Trust Fund Home Repair Program Projects - 1622 Taylor Ave. Bids may be held for a period not exceeding sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the bids for purpose of awarding the Contract. A Five Percent (5%) Bid Bond shall be submitted with the bid and a One hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond shall be delivered to the owner within ten (10) days after the contract has been awarded. The Board of Public Works and Department of Metropolitan Development reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in the bids and in the bidding process. GENERAL The Department of Metropolitan Development (DMD) is seeking a licensed General Contractor to perform home repairs as detailed in the Scope of Work attached hereto. The address for the scope of work is located at 1622 Taylor Ave, Evansville, Indiana 47714. Each line item is to be priced separately on (B-1) Bidder’s Itemized Proposal with the line items totaled at the bottom for a grand total. General contractors can self-perform or have a team of subcontractors to execute the work. Basic photographs of the work are included in the Scope of Work document. Additional photos may be available upon request. Should an on-site walk-through be required, please contact the homeowner as soon as possible. All questions must be submitted by email to Kory Kempf at kkempf@evansville.in.gov no later than 12:00 pm on November 10, 2025. On all roof sections 3/12 pitch or greater, remove existing roof down to the decking. Protect the attic from debris. Any new decking needed shall match the existing dimension. Any new framing shall be to code. Recover the entire roof with the #30 felt paper and 25-year Tamko or equal asphalt seal down shingles. Install new drip edge, metal flashing, and counter flashing at all intersections and new plumbing vent boots. Install new "Cor-a-vent" ridge vent with ridge caps or approve equal. Assure the area around the home is free from debris as much as possible when complete. Owner to choose an in-stock roof color. Provide all necessary material to complete this work. 2. Remove all gutters from the home. Install new white 6-inch seamless gutters on the home with all new white downspouts. The new downspouts on the west side of the home is too empty into the existing clay tile as it is. The new downspouts on the east side of the home are to have 4x4 corrugated pipe installed below ground and have drain "pop-ups" installed a minimum of 20 feet from the home. Any other new downspouts are to empty onto new concrete splash blocks and divert the rainwater away from the foundation The new gutters are to be hung using hidden hangers. Include all materials, concrete repair and labor to complete a leak free installation. 3. Clean out "cracked" failing area where the sidewalk on east side and the rear of the home where it connects with the home. Use gray Butyl self-leveling caulk on all areas to seal out water intrusion to the basement as much as possible. Completed caulking finish is to be completed in an efficient manner. Include all items that will be needed to complete.
