The project is expected to be awarded on January 25th, 2026** The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the Drawings and as described in the Specifications. The work consists of milling, paving, and general road maintenance work, including storm basin repairs. The work is located along Franklin Avenue within the Borough of Rockaway and includes site work and general construction. The work shall be completed within 180 calendar days of the Contractor's receipt of written Notice to Proceed. Bidders must use the prepared bid form contained in the Contract Documents. Each proposal must be separately enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to the Borough Clerk and marked on the outside with the name of the project. No bids will be received after the specified time and date, nor by mail. Bids shall be received by courier service (date and time recorded) or hand delivered. A bid security in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check made payable to the Borough of Rockaway in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid, but not exceeding $20,000, must accompany each bid. A Consent of Surety from a surety company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey is required. The Owner will evaluate bids and any award will be made to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor informalities or irregularities in bids received. The site of the work to be performed under the Contract is located along Franklin Avenue from approximately #176 Franklin Avenue to #354 Franklin Avenue (the Municipal border with Denville Township) in the Borough of Rockaway, County of Morris.
