The City is requesting proposals for the provision of all labor, materials, and equipment in connection with concrete restoration and protective coatings needed for a Diesel Tank Containment. Work to be completed as specified in this ITB. ITB NO. 028-26 The City is requesting proposals for the provision of all labor, materials, and equipment in connection with concrete restoration and protective coatings needed for a Diesel Tank Containment. This is necessary to contain the fuel in the event of a leak. The Bidder shall submit a proposal per the following bid specifications: Work to be completed as specified and required. A. Work includes surface preparation, concrete restoration, and protective coatings for diesel containment. Approximate size of the containment area is 26ft (W) x 38ft (L) x 5ft (H). The Contractor is responsible for verifying all measurements. B. Work shall be done in accordance with the provided specifications, drawings, and painting package (as outlined below under "Protective Coatings, General"), including the manufacturer's instructions. C. The Contractor will obtain, at their own expense, all permits, licenses, and inspections required to complete work in compliance with Federal Public Law 91-596 (Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970). D. The Contractor is responsible for examining the area and conditions under which coating systems are to be applied and notifying the City of any areas or conditions that are not acceptable. No work shall be started until any such areas or conditions have been corrected. E. Film thicknesses within this specification are listed in dry mils. F. Abbreviations: 1. DFT - Dry film thickness. 2. Mils - All listed mils are dry film thicknesses. 3. AMPP - The Association for Materials Protection and Performance. 4. The Contractor is responsible for arranging a meeting between the Contractor, Coating Manufacturer (whose products are to be used), and the City prior to the start of any coating applications. All aspects of surface preparation, application, and coating systems will be reviewed at this meeting. H. The City shall promptly request clarification if/when instructions are lacking, conflicts occur in the specifications, or the procedure seems improper and/or inappropriate. A Bid Security is not required for this solicitation. The original bid security (if required) shall be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City of Plantation, 400 NW 73rd Ave, Plantation, Florida 33317, BEFORE the due date of the solicitation.
