Bid is Cancelled. The City is requesting proposals for the service of rebuilding the existing overhead crane within the solids process building at the Regional Wastewater Plant as part of the RWWTP Bridge Crane Rehab Project Program. A Bid Security is not required for this solicitation. The original bid security (if required) shall be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City of Plantation, 400 NW 73rd Ave, Plantation, Florida 33317, BEFORE the due date of the solicitation. Bids will be opened, read, and recorded pursuant to State of Florida Law and City of Plantation code. The City is requesting proposals for the service of rebuilding existing overhead crane within the solids process building at the Regional Wastewater Plant as part of the RWWTP Bridge Crane Rehab Project Program. Scope of Work The project shall consist of rebuilding the existing overhead crane within the solids process building at the Regional Wastewater Plant, 6500 NW 11 th Place, Plantation, FL 33313, in a manner that is the best combination of product, warranty, workmanship, and cost effectiveness. Repainting of Runway Beams Specifications: o Surface Preparation: Clean surfaces using SSPC-SP2/3 Hand or Power Tool Cleaning methods. o Primer: Apply one coat of Tnemec Series 108 Probond (or an approved equal) at a thickness of 2.0 - 3.0 mils DFT. o Intermediate Coat: Apply one coat of Tnemec Series 135 Chembuild (or an approved equal) at a thickness of 4.0 - 6.0 mils DFT. o Finish Coat: Apply one final coat of Tnemec Series 135 Chembuild (or an approved equal) at a thickness of 4.0 - 6.0 mils DFT. Conductor System: Replace the existing conductor bar with a stainless-steel festoon C-track system and stainless-steel trolleys. End Trucks: Replace the end trucks with patented track end trucks. The new trucks must have a variable speed control and a maximum speed of 100 FPM. Electrical Safety: The system must include branch fusing to meet NEC requirements, with three separate sets of fuses for the bridge, trolley, and hoist. • Power Connection: The City will provide and install a wall-mounted disconnect. The contractor is responsible for connecting the new conductors to this power source. Testing, Training & Warranty: • Testing: Furnish certified test weights and test the crane system in accordance with all OSHA requirements. • Training: Provide operator training as required by OSHA. • Warranty: The project includes a one-year warranty for parts and labor. The contractor must respond to any warranty-related failures within 24 hours (maximum time).
