The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is soliciting proposals for the planning, deployment, operation, maintenance, and management of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations along seven US routes: I-25, I-40, I-10, US 285, US 60, US 70, and US 380. The project is funded through National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Phase Two funding and requires compliance with all federal regulations. The federal funding will offset up to 80% of the costs for new charging stations, upgrades to existing stations, and other related expenses. The awarded applicant must implement a reliable program to enable the public to use direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations 24/7, with sufficient resources and personnel to support, maintain, and sustain the NEVI Formula Program. Proposed sites must have at least four 150 kilowatts (kW) DCFC stations with combined charging systems (CCS) ports, capable of simultaneously DC charging four EVs. Electronic RFPs must be submitted in PDF format no later than the specified deadline. Proposals must be submitted electronically; hard copy or facsimile submissions will not be accepted. The NMDOT reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in part or in whole. All qualified interested parties will receive consideration without regard to protected class status, and compliance with the President’s Executive Order No. 11246 as amended is required.
