The City of Aurora, Illinois is seeking sealed bids from qualified vendors for the purchase and installation of a new SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) breathing air compressor system. The new compressor will support the City's Fire Department operations, ensuring the reliable refilling of SCBA cylinders used in firefighting and emergency response. The new compressor will support the City's Fire Department operations, ensuring the reliable refilling of SCBA cylinders used in firefighting and emergency response. The system will provide a reliable source of high-quality breathing air for firefighters in accordance with NFPA and OSHA standards. The City of Aurora is constructing a new fire station and requires the installation of a complete SCBA air compressor system, including all necessary equipment and components, to support the operations of the Aurora Fire Department. The system will be used to fill SCBA cylinders and must be capable of meeting current and future operational needs. The scope of work includes the supply, delivery, complete installation, testing, commissioning and training of the breathing air compressor system. All components must meet NFPA, OSHA, and applicable industry standards for safety and performance. Interested bidders must demonstrate experience with similar public safety equipment installations and provide documentation of system specifications, warranty terms, and a proposed project timeline. Project Timeline Delivery and installation must be completed within sixty (60) days from Notice to Proceed or as coordinated with construction schedule Delivery address: Fire Station 13-1701 Bilter Road, Aurora, Illinois 60502 Delivery and installation will be coordinated with the Project Manager(s) Final inspection and acceptance will be conducted by the City of Aurora Fire Department and Facilities Manager. The City of Aurora reserves the right at any time and for any reason to accept or reject any or all Bids or portion thereof, or accept an alternate bid. The City reserves the right to waive any immaterial defect in any bid, or technicality, informality or irregularity in the bids received, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional bids or counter-proposals. Unless otherwise specified by the bidder or the City, the City reserves the right to hold the best bids for ninety (90) days from the opening date. Bidder agrees to accept a notice of award, if selected, based on the terms of this Bid Proposal in the event that a notification of award is received on or before expiration of the 90-day time period. The City reserves the right to cancel the Bid Proposal at any time, without liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense incurred or suffered by any Bidder as a result of that cancellation. Each Bidder is solely responsible for the risk and cost of preparing and submitting a Bid Proposal. Question Submission Deadline:November 12, 2025, 8:00am
