A. County Building parking lots and surrounding sidewalk Areas The snow removal Contractor will be responsible for the maintenance of the parking lots and sidewalk areas at each County Building listed in this proposal. The county may add or remove buildings as needed. The parking lots with adjacent sidewalks are all shown on the attached aerial maps which will require maintenance during inclement weather events. Activities required to be performed by the Contractor include Shoveling: All sidewalks, steps and ramps shall have snow removed and snow melt shall be applied in an amount to remove any remaining snow or ice prior to the building opening to the employees and the public. In the event that the precipitation continues to fall between the time the areas are treated and when the building opens, it will be required to return to each location to apply additional snow melt or perform additional shoveling as required. If the event that the storm occurs during the daytime working hours, the contractor will be required to perform the same removal referenced above before the end of the workday at each location. Sealed proposals are solicited for snow removal services at various county buildings and existing units as permitted through the county contract purchasing system numbers CK-01-GC & 16GLCP. Bids are to be made on the provided proposal form, enclosed in a sealed envelope, and clearly marked with the date, time, and name of the item being bid. A bid bond, certified, or cashier's check is not required, nor is a performance bond. Each bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and, as required by law, a statement disclosing names and addresses of stockholders or partners with 10% or greater interest. Compliance with state and county laws, including the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act and N.J.S.A.10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding discrimination, is required. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities as deemed in its judgment to best serve the county's interest.
