Renovation of an educational facility in Davis, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and services to construct a new 14-inch, high-pressure steam line between two existing point-of-connections within UC Davis' Central Heating and Cooling Plant. A previous project has installed and prepared two point-of-connections to alleviate a restriction on the South Dairy Road steam distribution system. The two points-of-connection have an approximately thirty (30) foot difference in elevation within the Plant. Trade work includes shop and field pipe welding, fabrication and installation of structural steel supports, seismic hangers and restraint systems, system pressure testing, pipe insulation, and concrete (grout) work. The project start date will be determined by the Central Heating and Cooling Plant based upon the campus' demand for high-pressure steam for heating. The University anticipates the start date to be no earlier than March 1, 2026. The contractor may begin shop fabrication of the steel piping at the receipt of their Notice to Proceed. Contract Time: 232 days. California Wage Determination: 2025-2. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: General Engineering Contractor - A and Boiler, Hot Water Heating and Steam Fitting Contractor - C-4, OR General Building Contractor - B and Boiler, Hot Water Heating and Steam Fitting Contractor - C-4. In addition, the University is committed to promoting and increasing participation of small business enterprises (SBEs) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) relating to all goods and services covered under the awarded agreement, subject to any and all applicable obligations under state and federal law, and University policies. The awarded contractor shall make best efforts to provide qualified SBEs and DVBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate. Site walkthrough notes: Only bidders who participate in both the Conference and the Job Walk in their entirety will be allowed to bid on the Project as prime contractors. For further information, contact Brooke Gary via email: contracts.dcm@ucdavis.edu. It is currently anticipated that the Conference/Job Walk will last approximately 2 hours. Please wear closetoed shoes. PARKING INSTRUCTIONS: Pre-Bid Conference and Job Walk attendees should plan to arrive on Campus at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled meeting time to make arrangements for parking. Visitors must have a valid permit to park on campus. Daily Visitor Permits may be purchased from the AggiePark - AMP Park in C Zone areas (see signs in parking lots for zone information). For additional parking information, please see:online. Any parking challenges that are encountered will not excuse late arrivals and will result in that firm being ineligible to bid on the Project.
